It’s been a big week for product news and announcements in Chicago.

Some of the highlights include LA-based alcohol delivery service Saucey coming to town, Chicago’s Public Good, a social network and donating platform for charities, going national, and Narrative Science unveiling the enhanced version of Quill Engage.

Now, you can add Codifyd’s latest announcement to that list.

The Chicago-based company, which provides cloud-based software and technology services for e-commerce businesses, announced this week the global release of Codifyd Bridge, a platform that helps enterprises automate content onboarding and distribution as well as channel management.

“With a shift to online selling from traditional retail and direct sales, both B2B and B2C companies must quickly, efficiently and accurately manage their online product data if they want to stay competitive,” says Sanjay Agarwal, president and CEO of Codifyd in a statement. “Bridge’s innovative technology lets a complex web of e-commerce sellers manage and control their product content in a way that’s never been seen before.”

Bridge’s technology is capable of learning a product’s context in order to churn out reusable vocabulary and suggest mapping ideas to reduce data or classification errors. Through its intuitive interface, even the most nontechnical users can set up and implement its data mapping capabilities. With Bridge, product information is categorized and corralled into comprehensible customer-facing content.

In other words, it helps large retail clients improve digital content in order to streamline the shopping process, bolster growth, and ultimately spike sales.

According to the statement, global e-commerce sales are expected to breach $1 trillion dollars by 2018, and e-commerce retailers are racing to provide customers with an endless variety of products to browse from. Codifyd Bridge helps clients take a giant step toward that goal.

Founded in 2000, Codifyd also offers consulting services in addition to their Bridge platform. Their customers include some of the largest online retailers in the world, like Ace Hardware, Menards, and Lowes.
