Account Director (Inside/Outside Hybrid Sales) at Top Hat

Why it's cool: Top Hat is setting out to fix what a lot of us already know is broken: higher education. For many students, it’s near impossible to stay engaged in class while their professors drone staidly on. Top Hat’s goal is to make on-campus learning more engaging and interactive, so that the next generation of college grads is even smarter than the last.

What you'd do: As an account director, it’s your turn to do the teaching. You’ll be reaching out to a ton of university professors to educate them on how to best use Top Hat in their classrooms. That means you’ll be a master presenter, capable of running demonstrations both online and in person.

Who they're looking for: For this position, you’ll need to be seriously motivated with outstanding communication skills. It’s also best if you’re a self-starter who’s never shied away from a cold call or two.

Account Executive - SMB Sales at Marketwired

Why it's cool: Marketwired is a global player in marketing, public relations, and investor relations. They’ve been making it easier to access news and information for more than 30 years and have 20 offices on more than four continents. In our opinion, that’s an awesome legacy to become part of.

What you'd do: You’d be the owner of your entire sales process, from lead generation all the way down to close. In this role, you’ll also sharpen your negotiation, presentation, and reporting skills.

Who they're looking for: An entrepreneurial spirit and top-tier social skills are a must for this position, and Marketwired is also big on creativity and collaboration.

Inside Sales Manager at SIM Partners

Why it's cool: If benefits are a big sell for you, SIM Partners’ full suite of perks is bound to impress. From medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance to a matched 401k and paid parental leave, SIM Partners has its employees covered.

What you'd do: You'd be part of the Inside Sales team, overseeing and coordinating the audit process, mentoring and motivating members of the team, and ensuring sales and appointment goals are met.

Who they're looking for: SIM Partners wants a Salesforce guru who’s self-motivated but plays for the team. You’ll need at least five years of sales experience with at least three years focusing on the digital marketing space to really shine for this job.

Business Development Manager at UrbanBound

Why it's cool: UrbanBound is an innovative web-based platform that arms enterprises with a solution to help with all of their employee relocation efforts. UrbanBound offers a one-shop-stop solution, and working with them means you’d be a part of a budding Chicago startup that's poised to take their product to the global stage.

What you'd do: UrbanBound wants someone who’s able to build relationships with enterprise clients and human resource departments all over the country. You’d also be expected to build prospecting lists, schedule daily product demonstrations, and deliver on all of the company’s acquisition strategies.

Who they're looking for: If you’ve got a stellar track record in sales and describe yourself as one of the sharpest interpersonal communicators around, you might want to consider dusting off your resume.

Senior Sales Executive at ReviewTrackers

Why it's cool: ReviewTrackers is big on people. Really. And they hire with that people-first philosophy in mind, making sure their employees are both a cultural and technical fit. While they may challenge you to “get s**t done,” they’ll always be there to grab lunch with you, too.

What you'd do: This role is for senior executives. You’ll be responsible for identifying strategic clients through research efforts, building meaningful relationships, and maintaining exceptional outreach.

Who they're looking for: At minimum, you’ll need seven to 10 years experience in strategic sales, particularly for SaaS, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles within large organizations.
