Looking to up your ugly holiday sweater game?
Doing so just got a lot more convenient. With UberELVES, a holiday promo,
will be delivering ugly Christmas sweaters directly to your home or office from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. today.
The sweaters, which are provided by Shark Tank sensation Tipsy Elves, are as ugly as you’d imagine — and then some:
To unlock the festive function, open the “promotions” tab in your Uber app, and enter the promo code “UBERELVESCHI.” The sweaters themselves are free, but would-be fashionistas still have to shell out a $10 delivery fee.
Uber is no stranger to gimmicky promotions. This summer, Uber partnered with Techweek Chicago to bring venture capitalists to budding entrepreneurs’ doors, and in August Seattle residents were offered rides in cars inspired by the postapocalyptic blockbuster Mad Max.
In November UberHEALTH let customers order $10 wellness packs that included a coupon for 10 free flu shots, and UberKITTENS connected cats up for adoption with families in selected US cities.
More extravagant promotions in the past include UberJET, UberCHOPPER, and UberBOAT — all of which are exactly what they sound like.
