Why Getting Girls Into STEM Matters, Nov. 28 at 5:45 p.m.

Codeverse hosts this panel on the importance of getting girls into STEM. Panelists include Ms.Tech founder Nicole Yeary, Samantha Johnson of the NWSL’s Chicago Red Stars and Rose Coughlen, manager of STEAM programs for the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana.

Tech Careers for Non-Engineers, Nov. 28 at 6 p.m.

This panel will offer advice to job seekers who want to work in tech but lack extensive technical skills. Panelists include professionals from local tech companies like Grubhub and Infutor.

Boeing HorizonX: Unlocking the Next Generation of Innovation, Nov. 29 at 6 p.m.

Aaron Peterman of Boeing HorizonX, the aerospace company’s venture capital arm, will share advice on how startups can work with corporations. Topics of discussion include the best way for founders to get a company’s attention and how to craft the perfect pitch.

#TechForJB Reception, Nov. 30 at 5:30 p.m.

Illinois gubernatorial candidate JB Pritzker will explain his tech policy priorities at this meet and greet. The event takes place at the Merchandise Mart, and refreshments and appetizers will be provided.

Boost Your Networking Game – A workshop + networking event, Nov. 30 at 6 p.m.

This workshop is designed to teach acting skills that can be used during networking events or interviews. After the workshop, attendees will have the opportunity to put what they just learned into action during a networking session.
