From G2 Crowd to Jellyvision, these 7 tech companies all made huge hires in December

Chicago tech companies took zero days off in December.

Okay, that’s not exactly true, but the city’s startups were plenty busy before the holidays. In addition to raising $158 million in funding, Chicago startups made a flurry of high-level hires in December. To help you keep track of all the new faces we’ve rounded up seven of the month’s biggest hires.

Ryan Bonnici
CMO • G2

G2 Crowd kicked off December with a big hire, welcoming Ryan Bonnici as its new CMO. Bonnici joined the business software and services review startup from HubSpot where he served as the senior director for global marketing. G2 Crowd’s former CMO, Adrienne Weissman, is now the company’s chief crowd officer and EVP of partnership.

Chad Schneider
Director of Channel Sales • Jellyvision

Chad Schneider is Jellyvision’s first-ever director of channel sales. Schneider spent over a decade at Aflac before joining Chicago SaaS startup Code SixFour as its chief sales officer in 2015, a position he held until his move to Jellyvision. He also serves as the co-president of the Downtown Chicago Association of Health Underwriters.

Nandini Ramani
COO

Nandini Ramani joined Outcome Health last summer as the company’s first chief engineering officer. In December the healthtech startup announced her as its new COO. Ramani brings a wealth of tech industry experience into her new role, having served as vice president at both Twitter and Oracle.

Sandy Hogan
SVP And General Manager of North America and Latin America

Sandy Hogan is the new SVP and general manager of North America and Latin America at HERE Technologies. Hogan joined HERE from Cisco where she spent 15 years in various leadership positions, including global vice president of the company’s digital transformation group. HERE is best-known for its mapping technology, but the company also makes tracking software that helps businesses keep tabs on their assets.

Vanessa Rollings
CFO • Rightpoint

Vanessa Rollings is the new CFO at Rightpoint. If Rollings’ name sounds familiar, it’s because she’s the former CFO of Sandbox Industries. Rightpoint ended 2017 on a high note with the hiring of Rollings and the acquisition of Raizlabs, a firm out of Oakland, California, that makes web and mobile apps.

Andee Harris
CEO • Kazoo

Andee Harris has held two separate CEO positions at HighGround. She joined the company back in April 2016 as its chief engagement officer, and last month she stepped into the chief executive officer’s seat. Vip Sandhir, former CEO and the founder of HighGround, remains with the startup and serves on its board of directors.

Karthik Krishnan

Karthik Krishnan is the Encyclopaedia Britannica Group’s new global CEO. He joins the company from Elsevier, which publishes scientific, technical and medical research and journals. In addition to his experience in the corporate world, Krishnan also taught a business of media course for six years at NYU’s Stern School of Business.
