Tech companies made gains this past week in Chicago with several funding rounds and new job opportunities. Catch up on the latest. This is the Built In Chicago weekly refresh.

Sfermion raised $100M. The investment firm is going to put the funds towards an NFT ecosystem. Sfermion is also looking to expand its reach as the company and the world of NFTs grow. Syntellis will have a new HQ in Chicago. Chicago’s Fulton Market neighborhood will be home to Syntellis Performance Solutions’ headquarters in the spring of 2022. The company currently shares an office space with Kaufman Hall but will branch out to have an independent office. FingerprintJS gained $32M. FingerprintJS creates APIs that connect software to websites and creates a unique ID for users to help determine if they have committed fraud. The company can catch hackers while also securing payment processes. FingerprintJS is currently looking to expand its team to 100 employees by the end of 2022. [Built In Chicago]

Loadsmart acquired Kamion and Opendock. Kamion is a truck management system and Opendock is a warehouse dock scheduling software. Loadsmart, a fright tech company, hopes to focus on more efficient and automated ways to ship and load goods following its latest acquisitions. [PR Newswire]

Parts Town brought in funding. Leonard Green & Partners led the undisclosed funding round. The funds will allow Parts Town to expand and innovate on its technologies. The company is a global distributor for the food service industry. [Parts Town]
