Avionos Experiences Significant Growth in First Operating Year, Secures Renewed Investment from Aktion Partners

Chicago-based investment firm Aktion Partners continues its investment in Avionos, a digital services and solutions provider focused on connected customer engagement. In addition to accelerating revenue growth in 2015, Avionos more than doubled headcount to accommodate growing demand for its customer-focused digital services.

Since its inception in 2014, Avionos has become a premier cloud consultancy services and technology partner driving increased performance for Marketing, Sales, and Customer Care organizations. It will use the investment to support its next stage of growth both in Chicago and nationally. In 2016, the company plans to nearly triple its existing workforce to expand its capabilities and expertise guiding businesses in their digital transformation.

“Avionos has been able to grow rapidly and build a client roster of prestigious brands due to its focus on both technology and business process improvements that allow organizations to succeed in the digital age,” said Chris Dalton, co-founder and partner at Aktion Partners. “Looking forward to 2016, we are excited about the organization’s strong demand for client services and partnerships.”

Avionos supports major organizations and brands, including the American Medical Association, Kellogg’s, Plantronics, and Sears. Client projects have included comprehensive digital platform strategies to drive greater integration and performance between CRM, Marketing Automation, and Content management platforms; end to end implementations of Salesforce CRM, Adobe AEM, and Acquia Platform; and on-going digital marketing campaign operations. By focusing on driving clients’ digital transformation with operational strategies, Avionos helps clients achieve greater ROI and customer engagement with cloud-based technology like Salesforce.

“As a result of cloud market growth, merger and acquisition activity in the Salesforce ecosystem is rising. This gives us a unique opportunity to attract top talent to fortify our position and meet increased client demand for our portfolio of strategic services and solutions,” said Scott Webb, Principal at Avionos.

“With Aktion Partners behind us, we are focused on hiring great people in 2016 who are looking for new and exciting opportunities,” said Gibson Smith, Principal and Head of Talent Management for Avionos. “For current and prospective employees, we are an innovative, growth-oriented organization where you can expand your skill set far beyond your typical career path.”

Avionos draws from its founders’ and executives’ deep expertise in enterprise eCommerce and the connected customer with decades of experience in business transformation and customer experience for the world’s largest brands. The organization’s founders and partners, Chris Dalton, Matt Schmeltz and Paul Weinewuth, previously founded Acquity Group, a digital agency that went public in 2012 and was acquired by Accenture in 2013.
