A few weeks ago, Mayor Emanuel and Isiah Thomas announced a crowdfunding effort to raise money for Windy City Hoops, a basketball program targeted at providing youth a safe and productive option for their free time in ten communities throughout the city that have been hardest hit by violence.

If they can reach their goal by midnight tonight (March 20th), a partner has agreed to throw in an additional $25,000, which would completely fund the league. Please visit the page and share the campaign with your friends and family — today every dollar counts twice, and every donation will go towards providing kids a safe and productive alternative to guns, drugs, violence.
