ModCloth, a well known online spot for indie and vintage-inspired women’s fashion, saw a 141% increase in App Store conversions after partnering with 3Q Digital’s Mobile and Creative teams to update their App Store landing page experience.

ModCloth began this initiative in 2016; the company has been a client of 3Q’s since 2014. Together, ModCloth and 3Q set the following goals for the project:

  1. Design entirely new, visually appealing creative that aligned with the current website and overall brand
  2. Clearly communicate the app’s features
  3. Create a template that could be updated for seasonal promotions

To accomplish this, the 3Q Mobile team set out to analyze how different App Store designs would impact the conversion rate. They sought to understand how changes impacted user actions, how consumers reacted to different selling points, and what these changes looked like across different devices.

From there, the 3Q Creative team designed new experiences to specifically to answer these questions:

In the end, the ModCloth team saw impressive results, with a 141% increase in app downloads. Furthermore, they were able to understand their customers’ app store behavior in a way they didn’t have transparency into previously.
