Intern Spotlight: Sierra Saulsberry

One of these interns is Sierra Saulsberry, a Digital Marketing Intern who joined the team in May 2017 and has been flourishing ever since.
What led you to apply to Neighborhoods.com?
I was looking for an internship to gain more experience in marketing and saw Neighborhoods.com on Glassdoor. I saw the great reviews of the company and liked the idea of working for a start-up company, so I decided to apply.
What do you enjoy most about interning at the company?
I enjoy the responsibility given to me and the open environment. I also am learning more than I thought I would or that a class could teach me. It is a very open culture.
What are some of your duties?
The majority of my work revolves around AdWords. I work on marketing new communities in AdWords, optimizing existing campaigns, remarketing, etc.
What is something new that you have learned since being here?
I’ve learned a lot while being here –– I would say most importantly I learned how to use AdWords and am now AdWords certified.
How is this internship preparing you for your career?
Before this internship, I was unsure what area in marketing I wanted to pursue. Throughout this experience, I have seen how much I enjoy AdWords and now know that I will continue to pursue digital marketing for my career.
Favorite area/perk of the office?
The massage chair!
What are your hobbies/interests outside of work?
I enjoy hanging out with friends and going to the lake.
Any secret/unique skills?
I make my own chapsticks!
What advice would you give to future interns?
Come with a curious mind! Neighborhoods.com will expose you to anything you are curious about or want to learn and are welcoming to new ideas or techniques, so don’t hesitate to ask.
