I’m excited to announce that after relocating from Chicago to Austin about 18 months ago we are officially moving SceneTap’s headquarters back to Chicago. We’ve always had a presence in the city – many of our team members grew up in the area and SceneTap is active in the nightlife scene here – and we are happy to be back.
We’ve been busy in Austin! In fact, we’ve established some major partnerships that are going to help us take SceneTap to the next level.
SceneTap has partnered with BarVision, a company out of Phoenix that collects liquor pour data. This collaboration enables us to provide bars, nightclubs, hotels, restaurants, etc. with time-stamped reports on their crowd flow and gender and age trends alongside liquor pour data, like what customers were drinking and when. These comprehensive reports will allow venue owners to save money, maximize their product use and optimize staffing. SceneTap’s data combined with BarVision’s will completely change the way hospitality and nightlife businesses operate.
We’ve also entered into an exclusive partnership with Olympia Media Group, which is a content and marketing company that targets major universities. Olympia puts out The Odyssey, a Greek life magazine published at numerous universities across the country. By working alongside Olympia, SceneTap will be able to reach 80 new markets, taking us to over 100 markets in the next year.
To celebrate our return to Chicago and our new partnerships, we are teaming up with Tech Cocktail to host the Tech Cocktail Chicago Social at Vertigo Sky Lounge, one of the top places in the Chicago bar scene, on Tuesday, July 16. There will be tons of networking, drinks and fun to be had so make sure to get your tickets. All proceeds from the event will go to Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), an organization that provides young people from low-income communities with the tools to pursue their own startups.
