As a journalist, and executive editor of Blackline Review, I cover a lot of stories. I try and sit in the front row at events so that I can get the best audio and video of presenters when they are speaking.

One such event was SeedCon12 -- Chicago Booth's annual entrepreneurship and venture capital conference held at Venue SIX10 on South Michigan Avenue. In the auditorium, I sat in the front row. When one looks straight ahead, one gets a SHOE-level view of all of the panelists on stage.

There's a phrase, "you are what you wear," meaning that our clothing styles are a direct reflection of who we are as people. So, I thought that it would be fun to share the shoe styles of some of Chicago's startup icons!

Can you correctly guess which power shoe belong to whom? Hint: Lynda Smith isn't wearing the sneakers. I'll post the correct answers next week. Have a good Thanksgiving, everyone!
