Uptake Launches First Recruiting Campaign Targeting Developers and Engineers

Uptake’s hunt for Chicago’s best tech talent continues to feed its rapid growth. Not yet three years old, the predictive analytics software company has far exceeded 700 employees and is increasing its footprint at its headquarters in the 600 West Chicago office building in River North.

Earlier this week, Uptake launched its first recruiting campaign placing bus stop shelter ads throughout Chicago’s neighborhoods. The ads prompt viewers to enter a multi-step coding challenge, with the four-week campaign designed to resonate with a select target audience core to Uptake’s continued growth – developers, engineers and product-focused individuals with technical skillsets. Currently, Uptake has over 40 technical positions open, spanning data science, engineering, technical operations, UX and more.

On how the idea for the challenge came about, Uptake’s Chief Information Security Officer Nick Percoco said, “We’re always up for a challenge at Uptake. We’re looking for curious candidates who are, too. This campaign engages people in a fun and unique way that sets us apart from other tech companies and demonstrates the type of talent we’re seeking.”

Nearly 200 individuals have entered the challenge as of Thursday morning.

Want to give it a shot? Find one of our bus stop ads and let us know what you think by using the hashtag #uptakechallenge. Be curious, and good luck!
