As a foundational member of our team, you will not only initiate contact with prospective clients but also cultivate these relationships, guiding them through the early stages of the sales process. Your innovative outreach strategies, both outbound and inbound, will be key to unlocking new business opportunities, setting the stage for Run Free’s growth and sales excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Win Business: Identify, research, prospect, and close clients within the target market. You will also utilize various channels such as social media, industry events, and online communities to gather relevant information.

  • Lead Generation: Conduct a determined amount of outbound daily and weekly prospecting activities, including cold calling, campaign follow-up, inbound lead outreach, and social selling, to generate opportunities and close business.

  • Qualification: Assess potential clients by evaluating their needs, goals, and budget. Conduct a determined number of platform demonstrations to assess if they align with the company's target customer profile and if there is a potential partnership opportunity.

  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with customers and prospects through regular follow-ups, meetings, and events. Understand their pain points and provide relevant insights and solutions to position the company's products or services as the best fit.

  • Pipeline Management: Manage and prioritize a sales pipeline using CRM software. Keep accurate records of all interactions and update relevant information to ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the team to align strategies, share market insights, and improve lead generation efforts. Collaborate with executives to ensure maximum qualified opportunity generation and provide necessary information for relevant future strategic thrust.

  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitors, and target clients' needs. Continuously educate yourself on the company's products, services, and value proposition to effectively communicate and differentiate from competitors.

  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on key metrics, such as lead generation activities, conversion rates, and pipeline progression. Analyze data and identify areas for improvement or adjustments to achieve sales targets.

  • Achieve assigned activity targets consistently to meet or exceed sales goal attainment.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong prospecting and lead generation skills, with the ability to effectively identify and engage with potential clients.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and internal stakeholders.

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to travel to industry related events.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn and embrace new technologies and industry developments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development or sales role in the SaaS industry, demonstrating a successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong technical background with an ability to quickly learn new applications.

  • Strong industry background with working knowledge of run specialty, athletic retail, and broader shoe retail. Run specialty retail background a plus.

  • Knowledge of SaaS industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape (eCommerce, web design software, and industry-focused mobile apps).

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM software and Salesloft or Outreach sales engagement platform is required.
