We are committed to innovation, customer service and collaboration, and are currently looking for an Account Executive to be based in our Chicago office selling our suite of products to our Small and Medium Sized Business Clients.

 Your daily responsibilities at Marketwired will include:

  • Developing and building a book of business within Marketing, Public Relations, Communications and Investor Relations sector and positioning Marketwired as the Communications platform of choice
  • Ownership of the entire sales process including lead sourcing, prospecting, presentation and sales pipeline with demonstrated skills to follow up and close business within a certain time frame
  • Producing and delivering sales presentations including marketing materials and email campaigns demonstrating value proposition
  • Negotiation of pricing and presentation for multiple tiers of company offerings
  • Participating in weekly meetings and providing your input in regards to marketing initiatives, product development and competitor activities
  • Providing detailed weekly summary reports as it relates to individual forecasts, client feedback and new opportunities
  • Serving  as a liaison between your assigned team and other departments at Marketwired ensuring all client needs are met

 To be successful in this Sales position at Marketwired you need:

  • Completion of a four year degree from an accredited post-secondary institution
  • 2+ years of sales experience preferably within a marketing or public relations sector
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel PowerPoint and a CRM tool (preferably Salesforce)
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines adhering to forecasts, monthly quotas and targets
  • Strong organizational skills in relation to prioritizing tasks
