Advertising & Media Manager
About the Team:
The Marketing function will reinvigorate the Illinois Lottery brand through innovative insight-led programs such as enhanced games, effective social messaging and original advertising campaigns.
Position Overview:
Within Camelot Illinois, the Advertising and Media Manager is responsible for developing advertising and media campaigns in response to the Brand teams’ strategic plans. These plans will then align Camelot Illinois’ objectives to deliver sales growth whilst improving player sentiment towards the category.
Responsibilities:
- Drive integrated ways of working across creative and media agency partners
- Managing agency relationships to deliver the media and creative strategy for Camelot Illinois
- Provide an independent viewpoint and challenge to the marketing team by reviewing plans to ensure they are consumer-centric, cost effective and will drive positivity and penetration for the long term health of our brands
- Work with key stakeholders in the business to define the longer term strategy for creative delivery and media/communications planning
- Define the scope and remuneration of our media and creative agency partners including bonus performance criteria, organizing regular performance reviews and defining priorities to ensure delivery of brand requirements
- Facilitate the development of the annual marketing plan in conjunction with brand and channel teams
- Drive integration across our agencies in response to briefs in order to ensure simple and efficient ways of working and clarity over roles and responsibilities
- Prioritize briefs and scheduling of work among campaign delivery stakeholders
- Embed a ‘test & learn’ culture around creative and media with our agencies and brand teams to ensure campaigns remain innovative, relevant and effective
- Create and own the macro-media strategy based on the total investment available, defining the right investment by brand
- Develop the media partnership strategy and build/maintain strong relationships with key contacts in the big media owners
- Proactively keep up to date with and bring in external thinking and best practice regarding industry trends and competitor strategies in the media world
- Maximize ROI on media investments through effective campaign management, independent media audits, and media buying strategies.
- Strategic consumer-centric thinking, challenging plans to ensure each campaign contributes to moving key consumer-metrics to drive brand health
