Job Summary

Application Engineer is responsible for technical support – primarily customer quotations and business development case studies for various composite applications. Key emphasis will be on the ability to understand customer requirements and rapidly demonstrate how composite based solutions can be utilized to provide solutions with costing, timing, and resources included in the proposals.

Job Description

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. We do not sponsor H1B visas for this position.
  • Provides customer support by responding to requests from detailed analysis of product costing, schedule of creation, tooling costing, to submittal of design and process improvements.
  • Provides product technical engineering information by presentations on customer proposals.
  • This contains, but is not limited to, costing breakdown, 3D representations of finished goods, and tooling, etc.
  • Prepares cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents, consulting with engineers, production, and other professional and technical personnel.
  • Conceptual design of composite components and assemblies to support proposals. Generate solid and surface component and assembly CAD models Ability to compose detailed bill of materials for proposals
  • Utilize custom metrics and analytics to quickly generate customer quotations

of a team of design and manufacturing engineering staff. Interacts with Materials, Quality, Engineering, Sales, Receiving and Manufacturing.

Additional Job Details

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum age requirement 18+
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental/electrical/mechanical engineering, or a related field
  • 0-5 years of experience working as an engineer
  • Familiarity with CAD Software. SolidWorks/Inventor a plus
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs; MS word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to always remain professional and courteous with customers
