You are the right-hand individual for our Founder and CEO. Responsibilities go above and beyond managing calendar and screening calls. You want to learn a ton and recognize the value of working closely with a successful leader and innovator in Chicago.

 

If you are successful in this role, there is potential for long-term expanded roles within the business.

Responsibilities

 

Becomes the air traffic controller on Andrew’s life.

Andrew’s calendar is dynamic and requires constant attention. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing requests for Andrew’s time and prioritizing what’s important.  You’ll also make sure he’s spending time on the right things within the calendar framework created. Andrew wants to do a lot of things - you’ll be the voice of reason and responsible for pushing back to ensure he has time to think between all his meetings and activities.

 

You know exactly what to do with Andrew’s emails.

Andrew receives hundreds of emails a day and needs help staying on top of them. You will read all of Andrew’s emails in real-time and prioritize them: what needs to be addressed right now? Respond directly if it involves scheduling. Draft a response for Andrew if it doesn’t. 

 

Andrew is ready for all his meetings because of your preparation.

When Andrew has a client call, reach out to the account manager to get the latest on the account. Keep track of follow-ups from past meetings. Anticipate what he needs before he asks.

 

You direct the flow of incoming information.

Receive, screen and route all calls, mail, and other correspondence to Andrew or appropriate individuals in the business. Proactively handle questions and information requests.

 

You help us run the business.

We have an operational calendar that helps us track what to do, when. You will be critical to managing it. Help us document processes and manage to them.

 

You help Andrew manage all his relationships.

Make sure his contact list is up to date. Make sure we stay on top of follow-ups to clients.

Organized. You love keeping lists. You are prepared to discuss what’s coming up at any time.

Detail oriented. You have an eye for details and are thorough in everything you do. You proofread your work several times over.

Confidentiality. You will be privy to everything that is going on at Relativity. You must maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive information.

Relationship builder. You represent Andrew in every action you take and should be conscious of that as you build relationships throughout the organization.

Positivity. You should be an endless source of positive energy.

 

Other Important Qualities:

Willing to push back. You will receive lots of requests for Andrew’s time/attention and you should the ability to politely push back. You also should be willing to push back on Andrew.

Change & Ambiguity. You should be comfortable working in an environment of constant change and confident with a certain level of ambiguity.  

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Two years in a fast-paced environment, where you demonstrated an ability to learn on the go.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in event planning, logistics, or communications helpful but not required.
