Associate Director, Net Zero Program at a glance...
As a Multi-Site, Department of Energy Projects, Net Zero Program Lead you will play a pivotal role in being responsible for and coordinating energy-related initiatives across multiple sites. Your responsibilities will include leading programs, projects, cross-functional teams, suppliers and contractors to ensure successful execution of net zero projects. It will also require interfacing with the Department of Energy and ensuring that we are meeting the timelines agreed upon with the DOE and doing the proper checks as coordinated by them. Lastly, in this position will also ensure detailed financial requirements are met by collaborating with their assigned finance partner. This will require an ability to report out to senior management steering committee as well as a strength in collaboration with other functions like procurement and public relations.
Direct functional reports (indirect reports will be procurement, finance and plant engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
1.Program and Project Management:

  • Formulate, organize, and supervise inter-connected projects within the net zero portfolio.
  • Set clear goals, achievements, and results for each project.
  • Ensure that desired outcomes are achieved within specified budget and timeframes.
  • Work with selected suppliers/contractors to ensure delivery.


2. Cross-Functional Coordination:

  • Collaborate with colleagues and team members from various offices across Kraft Heinz & the Department of Energy (DOE).
  • Conduct RFPs with relevant suppliers on the stated technologies
  • Facilitate communication and alignment between different teams, suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders.


3. Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and communicate comprehensive project plans.
  • Evaluate projects at each stage, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
  • Plan and schedule strategic project timelines and achievements.


4. Budget Oversight:

  • Lead project budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Monitor expenditures and financial performance.
  • Implement cost-saving measures where possible.


5. Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively address challenges to minimize project disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with DOE regulations and policies.


6. Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare regular progress reports for senior leaders (steerco) and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records, including project documentation and performance metrics.

  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory bodies.


8. Regulatory Compliance:

  • Understanding of Department of Energy (DOE) policies, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensuring projects enforce to legal and environmental standards.


9. Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Proficiency in analyzing project data, performance metrics, and progress reports.
  • Effective reporting to senior leaders and stakeholders.

  • Flexibility to handle unexpected challenges and adapt to evolving project needs.
