Job Description
The Associate Director, Omni Shopper Marketing is an integral part of the Shopper Marketing team within the North American Customer Development Organization. This individual is responsible for the cross-functional relationship & core processes between brand marketing teams and the Omni Shopper Marketing customer area teams. They also directly manage our national Shopper Marketing creative agency as well as execution of our Scale campaign strategy & activation. This team supports the customer area leadership (WAC, Strategic Accounts/Growth Channels, or Grocery/Wholesale) and spearheads the total Omni Strategy across customers - leveraging budget, national omni strategy & customer priorities. This person manages a large team of 5 to 10 people including, 1 lead with several analysts and several senior managers.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Coach & develop a team of individual contributors and people managers towards common goals; drive engagement across the OSM team
- Oversee total Omni Shopper Marketing strategy across customers
- Own & manage the Omni Shopper Marketing budget
- Develop the National Omni Shopper Marketing strategy & key customer priorities
- Measure campaign return & effectiveness
- Develop best-practices and Omni thought-leadership
- Set the bar for 360 marketing creative excellence
- Communicate with leaders on Omni budget cascades, tactical plans, and performance share backs (e.g., MBR/QBR presentations)
- Lead high-priority key initiatives & projects (e.g., Omni Integrated Planning, Marketing Operating Design, Marketing of the Future, Industry Relations )
- Responsible for direct management of our National Omni Shopper Marketing agency
- Lead & improve broad reaching core cross-functional processes, trainings, rituals and routines
- Own Omni involvement & input into the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
- Aid the customer area teams in executing cross-functional JBP/JVP/KVP strategy
- Nurture relationship with internal BU leaders, Sales AVPs, Growth leaders & more
Expected Experience & Required Skills
- People management experience required
- Consumer package goods industry experience or similar experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Strong sales, marketing, media/creative, category planning and/or analytical background
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including reporting and presentation skills
- Excellent organization and project management skills
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction
- Savvy with business intelligence tools/software (ex. IRI, Spark, Reveal, Tableau, and Budget
- Management)
- Ability to effectively summarize sophisticated information upwards and influence sales
- leadership to drive appropriate action
- Strong at forging internal/external relationships and commanding trust/respect of others
- Proven track record to coordinate a strategic vision and a team of individuals in a fast-paced,
- results driven environment
- Knowledge of retailers and broker environment
Work Environment & Schedule
This position is considered a Normal office environment with limited travel or visits to external locations; offices are open workspaces Additionally, this role requires work a salaried, exempt schedule to best execute against customer and internal expectations.
