BI Engineer
The BI Engineer will develop and support technologies for the Oracle 11i/R12 OBIEE implementation. S/he will work using Oracle Reporting Solution OBIEE+, and will develop reports using Answers, pre-packaged Oracle BI Apps (such as Supply Chain Analytics, Order Management Analytics, Financial Analytics, Procurement and Spent Analytics), Reports and Dash Boards, BI publisher Reports. S/he will also develop technologies for Oracle ERP modules such as Financials, WMS, ASCP, Demantra, and Order Management. S/he will interpret requirements data, maps current and future state business processes to the packaged application(s) being implemented, and will develop plans to address functional gaps between the packaged application and the redesigned processes by building custom schema, ETL mappings, answer analysis reports and dash boards in OBIEE+. S/he will build ETL maps, custom schema, security setups, custom reports and custom dash boards on OBIEE platform using ETL tools (Informatica) and Oracle pre-built BI Apps. S/he will leverage strong analytical and problem solving skills to identify and deliver actionable insights; will provide guidance to other BI team members in Oracle OBIEE applications and standards for interfaces and bolt-on components.
REQUIREMENTS Master’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science or related and 1 year of professional experience in Business Intelligence Engineering – ETL (Informatica/Oracle). Additionally, the applicant must have 1 year of professional experience with: (1) Data Governance and Data Quality; (2.) Creating mappings, sessions and workflows in Informatica and Tasks, Subject Areas, Execution Plans and configuring DAC to execute ETL process; (3) Tuning Informatica Mappings to identify and remove performance bottlenecks; (4) Installing, configuring & setting up Informatica, Analytics, OBI and DAC tools; (5) Conceptualization, design and assistance in the implementation of systems, middleware, MDM, metadata, data quality, data warehouse and production architectures; and (6) Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing methodology and SDLC methodology.
