We are seeking a leader to manage a team dedicated to maintaining the security of these vital systems, used daily by government and public safety organizations globally. This role offers the opportunity to work with a highly skilled team employing state-of-the-art tools and methodologies.
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to join our global security team. In this role, you will lead a team of security professionals focused on achieving and maintaining security and compliance for our product cloud platform, which supports multiple applications across three major cloud providers: AWS, Azure, and GCP. Your work will significantly influence standards and engineering culture within our software product division, ensuring security is embedded into our cloud platform from the ground up, encompassing secure architecture, design, coding, and vulnerability management.

Position Responsibilities
  • Represent our cloud platform security team in external audits and customer presentations, detailing our cybersecurity solutions and methods that ensure platform security meets specific standards and regulations.

  • Drive the adoption of the DevSecOps framework and tools for efficient implementation by the platform engineering team, integrating security into all phases of the Software Design Lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Integrate advanced technologies, tools, and solutions, including AI capabilities, to improve the value of team deliverables. Empower product development teams to manage their security posture effectively, thereby minimizing their dependence on security experts.

  • Automate cloud security posture monitoring and reporting for the platform and cloud applications to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. This encompasses cloud and sub-system configurations, API and open internet connection security, access control entitlement monitoring, and detection of excessive permissions used by both human and non-human users across multiple clusters in a multi-cloud environment.

  • Work with Product Managers and engineering teams to gain an understanding of product functionality. Design and implement security methods and technologies that align with NIST 800-53. Conduct technical security gap analyses, contextualize and prioritize security findings, and guide teams on resolving security gaps.

  • Manage and implement a strong vulnerability management program for all cloud deployments to ensure compliance with government accreditation and customer requirements.

Position Requirements:

  • Global Team Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and inspire diverse, multicultural teams in a global setting.

  • US Security Standards Expertise: Deep understanding and practical experience with US security policies, frameworks, and standards, including CJIS and FedRAMP.

  • Cybersecurity Trend Awareness: Up-to-date knowledge of emerging cybersecurity trends and cutting-edge technologies.

  • NIST/CIS Implementation: Proven success in implementing NIST 800-53 or Center for Internet Security (CIS) controls within a product development lifecycle.

  • Effective Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and engaging technical presentations to diverse audiences.

  • Rapid Prototyping Proficiency: Experience in rapidly prototyping and validating ideas using no-code or low-code advanced tools and solutions.

  • Threat Detection & Response Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of threat detection and response methodologies, tools, optimization processes, and performance metrics.

  • Security Analysis Skills: Ability to conduct security analysis through the creation of detailed network connection and data flow diagrams.

  • Security Compliance Analysis: Proven experience in performing security analysis to identify and address gaps against security compliance standards.

  • Strong Collaboration Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members to solve complex security challenges.

Highly Desired Qualifications:

  • Security Automation: Experience utilizing security management tools to automate security processes and procedures.

  • Cloud Security Expertise: Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, particularly with their security methodologies and toolsets.

  • Microservices Security: Experience with microservices and microservice orchestration technologies, with a strong focus on security.

  • Experience with AI/machine learning technologies is strongly preferred.
