The Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the Senior Manager of Consumer Marketing and the entire consumer marketing team. This individual will dedicate his/her time to content creation and execution across social media channels and blogs; corporate brand development across social media channels, recruiting platforms, and internal channels; and additional tasks and projects that support the Senior Manager of Consumer Marketing.

The position requires the Content Marketing Specialist to work cross-functionally to gain a deep understanding of GoHealth’s products, services, and business objectives in order to develop creative strategies to position GoHealth as a top brand in the health insurance space. This role requires the Consumer Marketing Associate to interact with marketing and PR professionals, senior leaders, and employees across various business units.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a comprehensive editorial calendar that includes social media posts, blog topics, and emails
  • Work with the design team to create unique, revenue-driven graphics and images for all channels
  • Write and edit all blog posts, while focusing on relevant industry topics and SEO strategy 
  • Effectively target Facebook ads to reach current and potential GoHealth customers
  • Develop and grow internal brand awareness using email and social media posts
  • Track and present growth metrics for all platforms using Google Analytics
  • Support PR initiatives by writing press releases and media placements, when necessary

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or related field
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
  • Proven success in content creation and campaign targeting
  • Basic understanding of Google Analytics and related platforms
  • Advanced working knowledge of WordPress and related SEO plugins, such as Yoast
  • Advanced working knowledge of all social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn) and relevant social media software, such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite
  • Ability to pitch and initiate new projects and ideas
  • General understanding of the health care industry a plus
