What You Will Be Doing – Academic Coach

We are looking for passionate educators to support a team of teachers in the Academic Coach role. This role would involve supporting, mentoring, and coaching teachers. Our virtual coaching model allows coaches to work with an amazing group of virtual teachers, utilize data to inform coaching cycles, and deliver personalized professional learning. This role will ensure teacher success via positive student outcomes.  

If all of this sounds exciting to you – We want to hear from you!  As the Academic Coach,  you will: 

  • Lead and partner with teachers in initiating, implementing, and completing Coaching Cycles to improve teacher practices 
  • Conduct weekly informal observations based on data and the needs of students, teachers, and the overall program. 
  • Provide ongoing data-driven feedback and follow up via weekly coaching conversations to set student centered goals
  • Partner with various members across Elevate to collaboratively problem-solve to ensure the best student, teacher, and school experience
  • Plan and participate in Professional Learning sessions based on your professional goals that inform ongoing growth and impact (i.e. content-focused, SEL, providing data-driven feedback)
  • Engage in data-driven conversations with peers and leaders to ensure development of effective virtual coaching practices and ongoing professional learning 
  • Innovate within this cutting edge coaching and teaching model

Who You Are – Academic Coach

  • 5+ years of  teaching experience required, virtual Elevate K-12 preferred
  • A Bachelor’s degree in education preferred
  • Past management and leadership experience encouraged, such as instructional coach, team leader, or school administration
  • Keen ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Experience with educational technology tools and Microsoft
  • Passion for student success in underserved communities 
  • Part time 1099 contractor role available during school-day hours with interest in possible future growth opportunities.
