What you will be doing:

As a Clinical Content Pharmacist you will pair your clinical expertise with evidence to formulate actionable recommendations for value-based drug use in health systems. By defining best practices through a comprehensive analysis of drug information and clinical evidence, you will help create client-specific strategies for cost savings and improved patient outcomes. You will take ownership of individual research projects from scoping to publishing, and provide editorial support for other members of the pharmacy team to create and maintain the research content of our Pharmacy Solutions.

The successful candidate will be an experienced clinical pharmacist looking to broaden the impact of their clinical expertise through evidence-based solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Use familiarity and expertise on specific medical conditions and their treatments to inform project scoping and review content generated by other members of the research team
  • Aggregate, evaluate, and synthesize drug information, academic research, clinical trials and other resources to demonstrate clinical differentiation or equivalence between pharmaceutical products
  • Incorporate an assessment of clinical trial rigor, including study design, statistical analysis, conclusions, bias, and applicability
  • Apply basic pharmacoeconomic analytic principles to clinical and financial data to inform value-based decisions
  • Write clear, concise summaries of evidence and recommendations for our pharmacy solutions
  • Use clinical pharmacy knowledge to engage in informed discussions of scope of work or content deliveries with clients
  • Provide ongoing mentorship to Pharmacy Researchers and Research Associates, as well as interns, pharmacy students and residents, when applicable

Qualifications:

  • Active pharmacist licensure
  • Residency training preferred
  • 3+ years experience in drug information or other clinical specialist role
  • Previous hospital or health-system based participation in Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committees
  • Previous experience with formulary optimization or implementing clinical protocols
  • Proficient in medical writing and editing
  • Distinctive problem solving and project management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong prioritization skills
  • Professional email and verbal communication
