We are dscout. At our core, we are People Nerds. We empower our customers to meet the people who matter to them in the moments that matter most. Customer-obsessed companies and agencies like Salesforce, Sonos, Groupon, and Best Buy use dscout to build better products and services because of people like you. We are building a smart and driven team, and we would love for you to join us.
We're looking for a copywriter to join our 7-person B2B Marketing Team. You’ll write and edit for dscout and our sub-brand People Nerds - working on day-to-day creative and longer-term campaigns across our retention, acquisition, and brand awareness channels.
Our ideal candidate is a creative, strategic, and adaptable writer-editor who can turnaround clear, resonant copy. You’re eager to experiment with new concepts, quick to adopt a brand’s voice, and consistent in the quality of your execution. If this sounds like you, please apply.
To be considered for this role, please submit writing samples or a portfolio. Include a link to your portfolio below, or use the cover letter section to upload writing samples.
**Please note that this role will remain open to applications for two weeks, and will officially close on Friday, March 5th.
What you will do (let’s call them Responsibilities):
- Write compelling, on-brand content across a variety of formats (social ads, blog posts, web copy, email copy, video scripts, sales enablement, etc.)
- Work alongside the content team to ideate, create, edit, and optimize short and long form messaging
- Translate technically dense concepts into clear, compelling copy
- Edit from a style guide and ensure written elements are grammatically clean and aligned with brand voice and tone
- Partner with our team of designers to ensure alignment between messaging and imagery
What you need to have (we can call them Desired Skills and Background):
- 1-2 years of experience in a marketing writing role
- Exceptional writing, grammar, editing and proofreading skills; experience with AP or Chicago Style
- A portfolio, or sample work, that demonstrates proficiency across content mediums
- Desire to work cross-functionally and expand your strategic marketing expertise
- Experience writing in B2B/SaaS preferred
