English to Spanish Translator (Contract)

As we continue to expand our product offerings and capabilities, we are actively seeking a 4-week contract-based English to Spanish Translator. The translator will work closely with our Marketing department as well as with the Product team to translate application micro-copy and other general marketing/advertising materials.
YOU WILL:
- Work with the Creative, Marketing, and Product teams to learn about Pangea’s products and offerings
- Work with the Creative/Marketing teams to understand the brand’s communication style and tone
- Perform English to Spanish translations of both UX/UI projects and Advertising/CRM materials
- Edit own work and perform Q.A. to verify translation accuracy
- Work on-site at our downtown Chicago office
YOU HAVE:
- 1-5 years of translation experience required
- Native Spanish fluency is a must-have
- Native understanding of the dialect/linguistic nuances of Mexicans living in the U.S. is a strong plus
- Experience translating financial texts is highly preferred
- Excellent style, grammar, and spelling in both English and Spanish
- A detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner in Spanish
- Deadline-driven attitude with the flexibility to meet aggressive deadlines
