You’re an artist of storytelling and the written word is your paintbrush. You hone your skill of capturing the voice and tone of different brands through sharp copywriting. You understand the power of an idea and how to execute it.

As a senior copywriter, you’ll craft engaging copy across a wide variety of projects, from complex website redesigns to striking headlines. One day you may be writing website copy for a national food brand; the next, creating ad copy for a professional services partner. Our partners offer solutions in a variety of industries and we need our copywriter to be able to adjust to their tone and voice accordingly. In this role, you won’t just be tasked with writing copy for our clients, but helping shape their brand identity.

We aren’t perfect and don’t expect you to be either. In the history of Mabbly, no one has ever really been prepared for the day-to-day—at least not at first, and there are not many organizations that have the breadth of skill sets we use every day. It requires a high level of inspiration and autonomy to become a part of our growing tribe. Most importantly, we demand a unique hybrid of humility and confidence; we don’t have all the answers, but we’re confident in our abilities and persistence to find them.

Here’s What You’ll Do.

  • Translate strategic direction into compelling consumer-facing language across a variety of digital channels, i.e. display ads, email campaigns, websites, white papers, brand messaging, taglines, etc.

  • Exercise both technical and creative copywriting skills, and an understanding of the appropriate context and audience for each

  • Work in a close-knit creative partnership with our Brand Director to develop stand out and strategically focused concepts and campaigns for our partners across a variety of industries

  • Ideate and participate in brand identity development and curation for new and existing partners

  • Lead and actively contribute to conceptual brainstorms; challenging yourself and tribemates to go beyond the obvious

  • Interface with clients, be it a brainstorming exercise or formal presentation and everything in between, conveying the story and methodologies behind the creative concepts and copy

  • Develop a variety of concepts for each project that display diversity between them – approaching the creative problem from different points of view yet consistent with the brand

  • Participate in strategic meetings to deepen understanding of clients’ objectives and ensure creative concepts, tactics, and copy are on brand and strategically sound

  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with multiple teams and moving deadlines - agility and positivity will be essential ingredients in your success

What We Need From You.

  • 5-7 years of copywriting experience. Agency experience is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English or Creative Writing preferred or related field, a plus.

  • A strong portfolio of work, including brand identity development and ad campaigns (examples demonstrating creative process a big plus!).

  • Proven ability to create copy for a variety of audiences, brands, and industries.

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable environment.

  • Proven ability to dig into the details and emerge with strong strategic insights and a compelling story.

  • The ability to iterate quickly and effectively in response to feedback.

  • A strong creative mindset — ability to think big and bring fresh ideas to the table.

What You’ll Love About The Tribe.

  • R&R. Unlimited vacation and personal day policy.

  • Freedom. Flexible WFH policy.

  • Health benefits. Medical, dental, and vision (dependent coverage, as well).

  • Short-term Disability.

  • 401(k) plan.

  • ClassPass Membership.

  • Need a ride? Pre-tax Commuter benefits.

  • Competitive compensation with a growth environment.

  • Autonomy to operate as you see fit.

  • Regular company lunches and happy hours. Yes, it’s on us!

  • The work itself. Ability to work on challenging problems with a sense of purpose, autonomy, and mastery.

Mabbly is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
