We’re looking for a senior copywriter to take on a leadership position on our creative team. At Home Chef, you’ll work on a variety of projects on both our e-comm and retail side of the business, including integrated campaigns, promotional assets, partnerships, social media posts, web copy, and more. This role owns the brand voice and helps to define and differentiate Home Chef. In addition, you oversee all writing on the team, providing feedback to enhance clarity. You’ll translate business needs into creative solutions, and bring a fresh perspective to the table.

Brand Voice + Creative Development:

• Develop innovative solutions to creative challenges
• Highly creative and imaginative, and ability to produce innovative and original ideas
• Gain a thorough understanding of our Home Chef brand voice
• Develop ways to communicate unique messages through headlines and body copy
• Write engaging copy in a conversational, customer-facing style that’s on brand
• Manage multiple projects
• Audit current competitors and trends to bring inspiring, entrepreneurial ideas to the table
• Ability to write with engaging, emotive tone as well as a transactional/directive copy tone

Channel Activation:

• Develop clear, engaging, persuasive and on-brand copy for: marketing emails, retail/POP signage, Home Chef web pages, digital advertisements, blog pieces, social channels, company collateral, campaign videos, internal style guide and other materials in all channels as needed

Management:

• Work closely with the design, marketing, retail, and product teams to create content, develop workload efficiencies and collaborate on output
• Mentor/manage copywriter, providing feedback regularly and conducting performance reviews
• Work with project management to meet deadlines

Qualifications:

• 7-10 years of experience in copywriting for a brand or consumer-facing company
• Food industry experience a plus
• Experience with 360 marketing campaigns as well as direct and transactional digital channels
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner while balancing time, multitasking and interruptions
• Easily move between solo work as well as team collaboration
• Ability to write persuasively in both a formal and social voice
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude, collaborative mindset, and openness to receiving feedback
• Comfortable with multiple formats and lengths
• Attention to details and the ability to cast ahead for future projects
