We’re recruiting for a talented Senior Copywriter to join our world-class team, who’ll create powerfully imaginative audio scripts for clients in every industry sector. Using your extensive knowledge of copywriting within the North American market, you’ll ensure our product speaks directly to the listener – always working to tight turnaround times and delivering the very best quality. And by working closely with Copywriters in the UK, you’ll push the output of the department to ensure we always meets the exacting standards of our global client base.

 

The successful candidate will take an establishing role in the US Copywriting department and have the opportunity to build a successful team. Ideally, you’ll have two years’ experience working in an agency-style role, with a proven portfolio of compelling, creative copy. But above all, you’ll be truly passionate about the written word – and preserving the highest standards of quality in your writing.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Writing original, engaging and brand-congruent audio branding scripts for a diverse range of clients

·         Applying your knowledge of copywriting for a North American market to improve the standard of our output

·         Monitoring and spot checking the quality of scripts to reduce errors and regional inaccuracies

·         Proofreading and editing

·         Meeting tight daily deadlines for you and your team

·         Taking an active role in creative collaboration with fellow members of the Copy team in the UK and North America

·         Leading by example by maintaining the highest standards in all copy produced

·         Acting as a friendly, helpful and professional link between Copy and all other departments

·         Understanding all aspects of the Copy department and how the team functions within PHMG

·         Working closely with the Head of Copy to resolve any issues that may arise – and helping to aid smooth processes following any changes in structure or policy.

·         Building the North American Copy team in line with departmental growth

 

We want to hear from you if you have:

·         Management experience

·         The ability to grow and expand the Copywriting team as the business grows

·         The ability to write powerful, meaningful and persuasive copy for a wide range of industries and audiences

·         At least two years’ experience working in an agency-style role, completing writing tasks within a professional and fast-paced setting

·         Proven expertise in writing for the North American market – and the ability to effectively share this knowledge with fellow Copywriters in the US and UK

·         Creative, imaginative and versatile writing skills

·         The ability to research, synthesize and simplify complex information

·         A highly tuned awareness of the significance of brand identity

·         A strong sense of urgency and attention to detail

·         Highly developed interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal)

·         A flexible, enthusiastic and proactive approach to work – and the ability to multitask and meet short deadlines

·         The maturity and responsibility to stand out as a Senior Copywriter, acting as an ambassador for your team
