Your Challenge:

This position raises HIMSS's brand awareness, bolsters its thought leadership, and grows its engagement through digital content. The position is responsible for enterprise-wide digital content planning, governance, and execution. It collaborates with digital content stakeholders on thought leadership and overall messaging strategy and execution to achieve key business objectives. This position manages content to support marketing, thought advisory, strategic communications, meeting services, membership, and audience development teams.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops and oversees digital content strategy, in partnership with thought advisory team and other content stakeholders.
  • Creates organization-wide inbound digital marketing strategy, prioritizing campaigns and initiatives based on leadership's feedback.
  • Supports HIMSS's audience development and engagement strategy through targeted digital content-including web copy, newsletters, articles, eBooks and whitepapers.
  • Manages and maintains the enterprise-wide editorial calendar and content planning process.
  • Determines format, language, style, and tone of copy based on audience, brand, key messages, and communications channel.
  • Provides guidance on HIMSS messaging to internal stakeholders and external writing resources.
  • Manages digital content plans for all HIMSS initiatives supported by the marketing team.
  • Analyzes content performance, trends, and behavior to optimize audience development and content strategy.

What you will need to be successful:

  • BA in English, marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years marketing/communications writing or related experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including composition, grammar, and proofreading.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills; effective listener and collaborator.
  • Healthcare and/or health IT experience a plus.
  • Wrike or other project management software experience a plus.
