Our Product Experience team - Design, Information, and Insights - focuses on our customers and their business needs. We contribute from the concept all the way to the building of world-class product experiences by partnering with Product Managers, Program Managers, Software Engineers and other cross-functional teams. This Position:
An Internal Documentation Programmer Writer is a development and engineer evangelist who knows how to create and deliver information experiences that help shape the internal knowledge structures and documentation to ultimately increase product cohesion, adoption and delight their audience. They are part of a team responsible for the quality, discoverability and accuracy of the content. They are technical, critical thinkers with a focus on execution and a passion for creating stellar content for technical services in a way useful to internal development teams. They seek simplicity and completion in the content they create. Internal audiences’ informational background, needs, and objectives are always at the forefront of their mind. An internal documentation programmer writer is comfortable sifting through technical resource materials, including source code, and working with subject matter experts to distill complex information into clear, concise, and highly consumable content for our internal teams. They are comfortable stewarding content through usability whether documenting something, editing SME contributions, fixing and reorganizing existing documentation, or creating code examples.

This position reports to the Lead Information Architect, Content Ops.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate directly with engineers to synthesize clear, concise internal documentation from complex technical resources such as source code.
• Follow established content QA procedures and policies and suggest improvements for deficiencies.
• Design, create and publish content that is informative, concise, visually compelling, and a delight to consume.
• Deliver content assets on time and at expected quality to make sure great content is available for internal audiences.
• Collaborate with internal teams and partners, including engineers, product managers and designers on documentation and visual comps and provides input from an information perspective.
• Think critically and use data to inform content to ensure we remain true to customer information needs and make an impact.
• Collaborate with other authors and help lead others in upholding high content quality standards.
• Understand and evangelize the benefits of finding brevity and delivering the exact right content to meet the needs of the audience.
• Manage multiple projects with ease and help guide other authors as needed, setting stakeholder expectations, prioritizing their own work, and working individually and collaborating across teams.
• Audit and evaluate existing content and recommend changes/rewrite to meet brand guidelines and content standards.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 8+ years related job experience to include developer documentation, SDK and API documentation, technical documentation, or user guidance development.
• 5+ years’ experience with .NET framework, C#, or related language
• Experience working with GitHub.
• SQL, GraphQL or related query language experience
• 5+ years of experience with SaaS content creation for enterprise-class software.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with markdown, swagger, DITA, or similar are a plus.
• 5+ years of experience writing code that accesses APIs, creating tools and scripts for automation, or database development.
• Experience in a corporate/enterprise environment preferred.
• Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
• Excellent orientation to detail and quality in writing output that makes complex technical concepts and instructions clear, and simple.
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skill; deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced business environment.
• Self-directed and proactive with a clear sense of accountability and ownership.
