Northern Trust's Corporate Marketing and Communications team is seeking a Senior Video Producer to join our growing multimedia team and develop best-in-class creative for our internal clients, support our brand and be a part of a growing network of visual designers, product, and experience designers.

Summary

The Senior Video Production Editor will be part of a multimedia team that collaborates with events, communication, and marketing leaders across Northern Trust. This is an individual contributor role, and the body of work includes supporting remote/virtual production streaming, small- and large-scale event production, owning video production workflows, post-production, audio mixing, color correction, localization, motion graphic design, and animation.

Major Duties

  • Responsible for pre- and post- video project execution, audio tweaking, design content creation, and animating, using Adobe Creative Cloud or other similar tools to organize clips into a cohesive unit.
  • Responsible for video production management through the entire lifecycle of a project; including managing timelines, creating, and driving use of planning documents such as creative briefs, run of shows, shot lists, call sheets, etc.
  • Drive editing process through kick-off to completion (brief, storyboarding, editing and motion design application).
  • Provide guidance and support for pre-recorded and remote/virtual production.
  • Facilitate creative feedback to internal team and agencies throughout the life of a project.
  • Use storyboards/mood-boards to communicate and conceptualize with stakeholders and design assets for visual presentation.
  • Obtain necessary approvals and communicate plans to relevant stakeholders; ensure brand consistency across projects.
  • Responsible for overall archiving file management and documentation of processes and best practices.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Must have strong creative multimedia portfolio, that demonstrates expertise in video content capture, production and sound editing.
  • Knowledge in video and audio creation hardware and software, such as Final Cut, Premier, Episode and After Effects, as well as creative software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator & Photoshop. Knowledge of MS Office is required
  • Must be able to project manage; multi-task and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail.
  • Must be able to correctly light and shoot video and still photography, especially corporate portraits, talking heads, and occasional location shoots. Skill set in retouching is also utilized.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required especially when communicating creative concepts.
  • Collaborative work approach and ability to work well across a dynamic team.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in film, media, production, marketing, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience as Video Editor
  • Editorial experience at a creative agency or in-house marketing team, as a video producer and editor
  • Experience in working through complex workflows within a marketing, production, or creative department or company.
  • Experience with video/audio and design editing software e.g., Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects), Final Cut Pro etc.)
  • Experience with studio and live broadcast production technology
  • Audio recording experience with wired, wireless, and audio interface equipment
  • Experience with video and audio codecs and common deliverable format
