The Role 

As the UX Copywriter you are the central writer and editor responsible for establishing and maintaining a consistent brand voice and tone across the Customer Journey and through a variety of channels including email, text, website, digital content, and digitally enabled touch points (eg RISE Queue).

A successful UX Copywriter collaborate with our design, content, and e-commerce team to write clear, compelling, and concise copy that drives conversation and embodies the brand spirit at every touch point. The role demands the ability to shift from more strategic SEO based copy to editorial writing for site optimization to in-store advertising. This person demonstrates a clear understanding of brand voice and the marketing mix; the copywriter will be interfacing with a variety of internal and external creative partners. This is a very cross-functional role. The UX Copywriter sees themselves as a primary guardian and architect of a Customer Experience that delivers on RISE and GTI Retail values.

Responsibilities 

  • Establish and author service story narrative(s)
  • Mastery of craft to generate human-centered copy recommendations using design thinking methods
  • Co-create journey maps and content strategies
  • Storytelling through copy for digital devices, responsive design, and platform-based solutions
  • Oversight of copy, and maintenance of it on every branded tactic; identification of new opportunities to establish brand voice (eg Phone scripts, Call Center scripts).
  • Understand both user and business goals and objectives
  • Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the messaging supports and elevates content strategies and SEO
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with eComm, UX, and UI team members to execute experience design vision
  • Collaborates with internal/external creative partners on In-Store Communication
  • Ensures copyediting and proofing prior to any execution

Qualifications  

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Journalism, human-centered design or equivalent in a related field
  • A minimum of 3  industry experience; experience translating brand strategy
  • Experience in user-centered design methods and techniques
  • Experience in UX writing (i.e. microcopy and conversation design)
  • Experience in storytelling for digital mediums
  • Digital agency experience and background preferred

  • Ability to develop relationships, plan, and execute with minimal oversight
  • Experience in working on multiple projects simultaneously across large cross-discipline agile teams

Additional Requirements 

  • Must pass any and all required background checks
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
  • Must possess valid driver’s license
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Must be approved by the D.O.A. to receive an Agent badge
  • NOTE: This is a digitally intensive role; must be digitally fluent and curious
