Our content — which includes podcasts, design tutorials and exam prep — helps architects keep pace with emerging technologies and software so they can do their best work.

Black Spectacles is a young, fast-growing company. Our business has grown every single year since we launched our first online course in 2012. To keep that momentum going strong, we’re expanding our team of enthusiastic go-getters. We’re on the hunt for a Video Editor who is eager to expand their career while helping us expand our business.

You will be responsible for editing software training and test prep video content, as well as any marketing and promotional pieces.

You will coordinate content ideas with the Video Producer. You will make creative decisions for each piece, and assure they meet quality standards set by the company. You will use your knowledge of industry standards to assure Black Spectacles content is up to date and cutting edge.

You will be responsible for color correcting, inputting music, adding dialogues, and creating some graphics and effects for each video. You will also be responsible for converting and exporting all media types.

REQUIREMENTS

You have at least 2-3 years professional experience as a video editor.

You are creative and innovative. You enjoy coming up with new ideas, and have a strong attention to detail.. You are able to troubleshoot and solve problems.

You have previous experience converting and compression Media. You are also well-versed in color correction and know how to match color. Experience creating motion graphics is a plus.

And of course, you are and advanced user of adobe premier, final cut pro, or similar editing platforms.
