JOB DESCRIPTION
This role is hybrid on-site (3) days a week based out of our Northbrook or Chicago, IL location
The Corporate Strategy Analyst will support strategic planning, Competitor and Market intelligence activities to ensure the continued successful growth and profitability of the organization. This Analyst will conduct research, perform quantitative and qualitative analyses, and build executive-level presentations. Researches organizational positioning, assists in conducting environmental scans, and performs financial analysis to support business and strategic planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports corporate strategy, and/or corporate initiatives, priorities, and special initiative projects, including collaborating with business lines across Regional and Functional areas.
  • Supports annual corporate and region planning activities including development of long-range plans and priorities.
  • Develops market and competitor intelligence including researching disruptive threats and opportunities, analyzing competitors' strengths and weaknesses and understanding key market dynamics that will position the company to win.
  • Supports the regional strategy development process
  • Researches opportunities for ULS to grow through organic and acquisition investments that are inline with UL's long-range plans.
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information, and develops projections, reports and, or presentations.
  • Conducts periodic reviews of achievements and performance versus strategic plans.
  • Read and follow the UL Solutions Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices
  • Performs other duties as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a business analysis, strategy, or management consulting role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work within a complex and often ambiguous environment and handle multiple projects
