We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Data Analyst II on our Environmental Intelligence team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 2 days a week in the office.
As a Data Analyst II, you will be responsible for the development, design, and execution of data analysis projects, including workflow documentation, data requirements, and data methodology solutions. Partner with business stakeholders, to generate and present data analysis/analytics solutions. Collaborate and support across Strategic Insights, to achieve department objectives and goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Market Research Analysis & Support
- Support the Quantitative Market Research team with high priority projects
- Provide support for survey automate processes over time and eliminate unnecessary manual processes sampling, selection, development of sample universe, test design, weighting of sample; utilize technical acumen to
- Assist with survey testing, coding frame generation, banner table interpretation, quality assurance of analysis.
- Provide appropriate project management, documentation, notes, interim results, and final presentation for all projects assigned
Data Analysis/Data Operations
- Initiate, implement, and complete diverse data analysis projects that align with business unit objectives
- Define analytics objectives, specifying processes, methodology and approach; design analysis plan and synthesize data from multiple data sources into understandable and actionable insights
- Recommend customized analytics project design to clients including the implementation and execution of data quality projects, and analyses
- Develop, refine, and maintain metrics, algorithms, regressions, correlations, attributes, and measures in pursuit of model development
- Implement internal quality data checks and standards to identify, track and report data discrepancies to ensure compliance with AMA-developed data and analytic standards
- Collaborate with IT, and internal client’s teams to ensure alignment on data governance, data usage and data interpretation
- Define and automate processes and methods for data collection to support analyses and KPI reporting
SI Support
- Support key Strategic Insights team initiatives as requested
- Provide other analytic guidance for Business Units
May include other responsibilities as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s in business, marketing, statistics, or STEM background or other relevant fields required; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data analysis/analytics; experience with statistics, consulting, or related area preferred.
- Health care industry or domain knowledge strongly preferred.
- Solid data analysis and visualization skills, at least 2 years’ experience with SAS, SPSS, SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Informatic Data Management tools etc.
- Detail oriented and focused on documentation and quality assurance
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, or as a team member, in a multi-tasked environment with agility to adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
- Polished interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to form relationships with internal and external customers that will facilitate open communication and the sharing of information.
- Highly adept quantitative, root-cause analysis, problem-solving skills, process mapping and data modeling skills.
- Demonstrated ability to gather, interpret, analyze, large data sets, investigate and fix data quality issues, draw meaningful insights, and provide actionable recommendations, and complete statistical testing for the purposes of backend analysis.
- Proficient organizational skills with significant project management experience.
- Must be able to build trust of business stakeholders in relation to understanding and providing solutions to their business needs; proactively initiates, develops, and maintains effective working relationships.
