We are seeking an Data Operations Analyst to support a large-scale, multi-phase deployment project in the pharmaceutical sector. This role is a hybrid of data analytics and operational incident management, requiring both technical data skills and a structured, process-oriented approach to managing data issues.

Important! On-site attendance in Chicago office is required three days per week. Remote work and relocation support are not available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of data incidents: from logging, investigation, triaging, to resolution and closure.
  • Analyze and investigate data discrepancies and issues reported by field users and business teams.
  • Triaging issues and coordinating with internal technical teams (data engineering, IT, brand teams) to assign and track resolution.
  • Validate fixes and ensure data quality is restored before closure.
  • Track issue status, maintain logs, and ensure SLA adherence and process compliance.
  • Summarize and convey updates to business stakeholders in a clear, structured manner.
  • Support ongoing improvements in data quality processes and operational workflows.
  • Contribute to user acceptance testing (UAT), documentation, and training as needed.
  • Perform technical triage and communicate clear summaries back to business teams.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience with Power BI or Tableau for data validation and reporting tasks. 
  • SQL skills to investigate and validate data issues. 
  • Experience with incident tracking systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
  • Prior experience in commercial pharma data operations (e.g., CRM, sales, field ops data).
  • Proven ability to manage incidents, track issues, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a focus on data quality and compliance.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with both technical teams and business users.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Exposure to data governance frameworks in pharma.
  • Experience contributing to SLA definitions and process improvement initiatives.
