Summary of Responsibilities:
The Advanced Analytics Marketing Lead will play a critical role in understanding and driving future improvement throughout Home Chef. You will oversee analytics for the entire marketing function, ensuring strong insight(s) and data-informed decisions persist throughout all work streams.
As we work to drive evolution of marketing analytics across the team, you will help develop a cohesive and holistic view of omni-channel marketing effectiveness to enable us to make better, faster and more data informed decisions on marketing performance, optimizations, customer journeys and allocations of spend. You will work with our data engineering team to unlock the power of customer data from our data infrastructure.
The role requires a naturally curious marketer who loves to experiment and has a solid track record increasing effectiveness of cross channel marketing activities. The ideal candidate combines outstanding communication skills, business acumen and strong quantitative abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve multi-touch attribution models, media mix modeling, brand tracking, LTV modeling and other advanced analytic techniques / statistical analysis at scale
  • Help the marketing channel owners optimize ROI
  • Lead the team responsible for analyzing, measuring, and optimizing our marketing investments and tactics across multiple channels (paid media, experimentation, customer communication, etc.)
  • Help team create and manage scalable reporting and dashboards that monitor marketing key performance indicators (KPIs), highlight areas of improvement, and influence strategy to identify/quantify levers to help move key metrics
  • Continually evolve and improve our marketing analytics, seeing beyond the numbers and understanding what drives our business, providing insights into performance and customer trends
  • Work to understand impact to our business as we continue rolling out our in-store product (retail) and expand our online product assortment
  • Working with external teams (84.51, etc.) and other Home Chef teams where necessary
  • Help identify advanced segmentation strategy that encompasses various customer profiles, data points
  • Using internal data sources to improve personalization across channels
  • Execute cohort studies and drive analyses to understand customer behavior and identify opportunities for improving our product(s)
  • Work cross-functionally with peers in analytics and other critical functions to develop a holistic view of marketing performance and growth opportunities
  • Clearly communicate and synthesize findings to present insights to all levels throughout the organization

Relevant Skill Set:

  • 7+ years of experience in customer or marketing analytics, including direct marketing analysis in a multi-channel retail environment
  • Ability to take ambiguous problems and solve them in a structured, hypothesis-driven way
  • A deep understanding of statistical analysis (e.g. hypothesis testing, experimentation, regressions)
  • Excellent technical skills:
  • Leverage R/Python to analyze complex data for data manipulation, modeling, and summarization (familiarity with statistical packages)
  • Using Looker (or other visualization tools) to deliver insights at scale
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Passion for technology and consumer products
