Analyst, Inventory & Reconciliation

Job Summary

Responsible for all activities related to inventory replenishment and reconciliation, client program support, analytics, reporting, and working with stakeholders to optimize operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitors, analyzes, and minimizes client and Walgreens inventory liabilities.
  • Responsible for inventory ordering and order exceptions to insure accurate and timely inventory replenishment. Monitors inventory replenishment to avoid excess store inventory.
  • Performs inventory reconciliations on a monthly basis for clients in accordance with their contracts. Works with team members and clients to present and resolve all reconciliation issues as they arise.
  • Performs client specific program analysis and makes recommendations to improve program performance.
  • Develops and fosters working relationships with internal working counterparts (IT, Retail Operations, Accounting, etc.) to facilitate productive exchanges of information and collaboration.
  • Builds solid working relationships with external partners to ensure optimal program implementation and operation. Develops and fosters working relationships with Wholesalers to collaborate, resolve issues, and optimize the inventory replenishment process.
  • Utilizes and optimizes program reporting detailing volume, profitability, pricing, and other reporting metrics as needed.
  • Develops a thorough understanding of the 340B program. Strives to consistently improve the overall efficiency and optimal operation of the 340b complete program.
  • Coordinates with IT as a subject matter expert to design, test, and implement system enhancements to improve efficiency and meet new business requirements.
  • Assists in team member training, documentation and the development of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Builds knowledge of the healthcare and pharmacy services industry, continually, and uses that knowledge to identify ways and make recommendations, to improve the 340b program.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree OR High School Diploma/GED and at least 3 years of experience in an analytical role.
  • Experience in analyzing and reporting data to identify and diagnose moderate to complex business issues and to recommend and implement solutions to resolve.
  • Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
  • Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
  • Willing to travel up to 20% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry, including pharmacy, hospitals, clinics, and/or PBMs.
  • Experience working on a cross-functional team for special projects.
  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel
