We are looking for an Analytics Manager to drive analytics best practices and lead an analytics team in support of the Groupon North America business. This person will lead a team tasked with implementing and optimizing tools and strategies to translate raw data into valuable insights that guide the business. Key focus areas include developing and optimizing core analytics visualization tools, delivering insights that power the business, and stakeholder management. In this role, we expect the leader to have strong logical reasoning skills, strong insight and analytics development skills, and be experienced in optimizing data visualization. The Analytics Manager will be required to drive requirements gathering and analytics developments with an aim toward providing data visualization tools to guide short-term and long-term decisions for the business.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop analytics and data visualization plans to enable optimization of revenue
  • Implement data visualization tools and best practices that enable end users to optimize business levers
  • Translate raw data into valuable business insights
  • Develop and maintain new data sources that help drive the business
  • Proactively uncover meaningful revenue optimization insights through data without specific direction by others
  • Drive cross-functional partners to prioritize key projects and initiatives that align with data-driven recommendations
  • Work with product management, engineering, and business teams to develop world-class analytics and data visualization
  • Provide data and insights that aid near term and long term decision-making for the businesses

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Data Management or similar; graduate degree recommended
  • 5+ years of experience working in data analysis and reporting; industry experience is a plus; experience with SQL is required
  • Knowledge of eCommerce customer flows and proven experience optimizing data visualization tools to drive the business
  • Significant experience developing analytics via data visualization tools - preferably proficient in Tableau, Microstrategy, Cognos or similar data visualization tools
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to drive product requirements processes that lead to actionable tool set development
  • Proven ability to leverage creativity to solve problems cross-functionally
  • Very strong communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Excited by developing data and analytics solutions that enable delivery of data-driven, business-optimization recommendations
