Analytics Report Author and Analyst
Description
The Analytics Report Author & Analyst is responsible for implementing internal and external reporting at Syndigo. Working with a diverse pool of stakeholders in product management and operations, the Analyst will connect to data sources, transform and enrich content, and produce the dashboards, reports, and tiles to guide business decisions. This role is highly outcome oriented, requiring ability to align to business objectives and adapt in a rapidly evolving environment. The ideal candidate loves to dive into data, surface insights, and produce innovative analytics!
This role can be based in Syndigo’s office in Brookfield WI, Nashville TN, or Lisle IL. Candidates with excellent credentials who are based elsewhere in the US can be considered on a fully remote basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement custom reports, tiles, dashboards for internal and external consumption
- Implement and maintain report models and content pipes
- Author custom measures for use in reports
- Create custom data extracts and ad hoc reports
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot data issues, recognizing common BI user experience concerns before delivery
- Work with stakeholders to ensure business use case will be satisfied, providing options for successful delivery
- Estimate, track, and communicate status of assigned items to a diverse group of stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years experience in developing large scale Power BI models, visualizations, and custom measures
- Strong Proficiency and expertise in Power Query (M) and DAX
- Strong understanding of relational and dimensional modeling, with experience using Analysis Services Tabular in various tooling (Azure, On Premises, Power BI)
- Experience with Power BI Embedded
- Expertise in TSQL, Spark SQL
- Experience with Azure Data Factory and data integration patterns
- Experience working within Databricks a plus
- Experience creating custom visualizations in D3.js a plus
- Detail oriented and analytical mindset, with ability to rationalize ambiguity / unknowns
- Ability to effectively manage time and adjust to changing priorities
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
