The Team
At Arity, our Analytics team is at the core of helping us transform mobility. The Role
This role is responsible for the use and development of data infrastructure projects & proof of concept business solutions for the User Intelligence team. This team is responsible for generating production level insights based on telematics and third-party data to help customers understand users' mobility behavior for how, when, and where users travel. These insights are used to provide end users with a better experience in various mobile apps and used as attributes in calculating driving scores.This person will coordinate with a cross-functional team, including product owners, data scientists & engineers, to work on tactical solutions. This role participates on new ETL and distributed computing work tracks for Data Science and analytics from inception and prototyping to fully developed solutions. An ideal candidate will demonstrate a high degree of flexibility, analytic agility, and the ability to rapidly adapt to changing business requirements/needs, new technologies, and data sources.
Responsibilities
- Work with Data Scientists and business partners on embedded cross functional teams; developing subject matter expertise in the business as well as advanced analytics.
- Leverage "agile" data analysis with technology fluency in parallel processing/programming, software/programming languages and analytical technologies, such as Hadoop and Spark
- Participate in building requirements to develop analytic data sources for use by data scientists, research, and business users
- Provides input to the team with test scripts, executes testing, and works with data scientists and business to ensure end user acceptance
- Facilitate deployment of predictive models in production using technologies such as Flink, Cassandra, or containers
- Leverage the data infrastructure required to support needs of data science and analytics.
- Provides support to team on the development of corporate research data files, information platforms or data spaces designed for exploring and understanding the data
- Demonstrate analytic agility to meet fluid and dynamic business needs in this space
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a field such as Computer Science, Data Architecture, or equivalent skills & ability
- 2 - 3 years of related experience or equivalent skills & ability
- Strong Python coding skills (Scala, a plus)
- Experience with distributed computing (Spark, Hadoop)
- Computer Proficiency in Linux, SQL, and bash
- Familiarity with AWS
- Analytic, Data Sourcing, and Content Management skills
- Experience in time and task management
- Ability to learn new technologies
- Strong attention to detail
- Intermediate written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary groups and all organizational levels
