The Team
At Arity, analytics is at the heart of what we do. We are looking for a Business Analytics Consultant to join our amazing Insurance Telematics team. Our team builds analytics-centric products and solutions in the insurance space such as driving scores and mobility attributes. The Role
The Business Analytics Consultant will join a team of data scientists and data engineers to help the team make the most of our most tremendous asset – data. This person will help the team bring data and insights to life by building effective dashboards and data visualizations for both internal and client-facing opportunities. This person will also help with operational needs such as customer reporting, invoicing, and data analysis.
Responsibilities
The day-to-day work of a Business Analytics Consultant will include:
- Getting business insights out of telematics, insurance, and other challenging data sources
- Creating and updating dashboards and customer reports
- Working closely with the product owner, design team, and analytics team members to refine the insurance reporting suite
Qualifications
We are looking for a team member that has the following traits:
- 1 or more years work experience in business, insurance, data/analytics, or other technical fields
- Experience creating dashboards and an excellent understanding of effective data visualization
- Experience preparing reports including an ability to clearly outline data requirements
- Has a good understanding of data and a good eye for data quality issues
- Has data skills using SQL or other tools/languages such as Python
- Seeks to understand customer needs, fosters relationships with them, and makes recommendations to improve their solutions
- Thrives working in a team environment
- Enjoys communicating and collaborating with others
- Detail-oriented, double checks data/work against expectations, and takes pride in good documentation
- An innate curiosity and ability to learn new things
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.

The salary for this level position is $62,500 - $113,500. The salary offered is commensurate with experience.
