To help us do this, we are looking for a Business Analyst Intern to join our thriving team. As a Business Analyst, you combine a love of data with both insightful business judgment and impactful communication skills to develop and execute company-wide growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about digging into data and have a firm understanding on what the data is showing.
You may not have extensive business experience, but you must have excellent statistical analysis skills and an appetite and aptitude to learn quickly.
This position will report to Business Analytics Manager.
Your Responsibilities
● Analyze complex business problems using data sets from internal and external resources
● Build customer profiles, and identify customer segments that are under-penetrated or could be expanded to
● Monitoring performance trends to anticipate necessary adjustments to strategies
● Analyzing profitability trade-offs using various tools to maximize return on the business exposure
● Exploring new data sources to support improvements to new and existing programs
● Assisting with ad-hoc analysis and reporting to support decision making
Your Skills
● Advanced knowledge of data extraction and manipulation using SQL, Excel and other reporting software
● Knowledge of building analytical solutions with software such as Python or R
● Good understanding of statistical modeling techniques
● Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
● Innate curiosity combined with excellent learning capability
Your Nice to Have Skills
● Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, R-Shiny, Looker or Sisense
● Experience in consumer lending or student finance
Your Qualifications:
● Bachelor + degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or other related quantitative disciplines
