We are currently seeking a skilled Product Management Associate to join our fast-growing organization. As a key member of the Apply product team, this role will work cross-functionally to bring products into fruition by breaking down complex processes and problems into manageable steps and clear requirements. The role will facilitate alignment across business, engineering, and Amount’s partners in order to ensure project success for all parties. The ideal candidate is exceptionally driven, accountable, and collaborative and brings a unique combination of business acumen and technical skills in order to design solutions that deliver to the long-term strategic vision. What you will do at Amount:

  • Work as a partner to customer support and other product teams to develop a detailed understanding of business problems and propose solutions that can be supported by all teams involved
  • Work as a partner to product development and engineering teams to weigh the technical feasibility of different solutions in order to make the right time and talent tradeoff recommendations
  • Define roadmaps and write detailed proposals for enhancing product areas based on input from all key stakeholders
  • Develop domain and technical knowledge of the product to understand implementations at the architecture level
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and manage high-level project deadlines by constantly seeking and removing blockers for teams
  • Track progress and provide ongoing communication to stakeholders and leadership
  • Improve, maintain and update enterprise-level technical documentation with accountability for release and versioning in knowledge management systems, e.g., Confluence
  • Perform implementation reviews of partner change requests and write SQL scripts to verify expected behavior
  • Monitor platform releases, review pull request code at a high level, perform ad hoc root cause analysis for system issues and own resolution of triggered QA checks
  • Conduct P&L analysis for building and maintaining platform features and identifying areas where configurations can replace custom implementations to reduce costs

Why you are a fit for Amount:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Statistics or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 2+ years experience in a product management, engineering, analytics, data science, or management/technology consulting role
  • Proficiency using programming languages to write scripts for automated solutions (Python, Ruby, C++, etc.) or to solve analytics problems (Python, R)
  • Proficiency writing intermediate to advanced SQL in order to manipulate large datasets for analysis
  • Familiarity with agile software management and collaboration tools like GitHub, JIRA, Confluence etc.
  • Excellent communication and soft skills with ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships
  • Highly analytical and organized, detail-oriented, knack for problem-solving and strong project management skills
  • Willingness to wear multiple hats and get your hands dirty
  • Nice-to-haves:

  • Strong data background: knowledge of Looker / LookML or other BI tools, experience with data engineering and database architecture
  • Strong engineering background: knowledge of web application frameworks like React, Node.js, and Angular, experience working with enterprise APIs
  • Knowledge of enterprise technology execution industry standards, best practices, and governance
