Business Analyst
Our voice technology is cool, but it's mostly invisible. That's why we take great care in surrounding our voice applications with elegant and intuitive web-based applications to make them tangible and usable. Vail's web development team develops user applications that enable our clients to achieve optimal benefits from our software. Creating intuitively usable web applications is a multi-disciplinary process that requires instinct, creativity, empathy and an eye for detail. We assemble collaborative teams made up of industry experts and neophytes applying principles of application design, graphic art and even cognitive psychology to ensure that we approach problems from every angle. We'd like to add a Business Analyst to our team, and we'd like to know if you think you fit the bill. You will if you:

What you can expect to be doing:
- Assist in documentation of Product roadmaps by working with Product teams and stakeholders
- Capture and document feature requirements while working with internal stakeholders to establish prioritization
- Thoroughly document user stories and communicate updates to internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with Product and User Experience (UX) teams to prototype features
- Produce issue tracking tickets to clearly communicate requirements to the development teams
- Partner with Quality Assurance (QA) to write and review acceptance criteria for each requirement
- Convey updates of incremental progress to Project and Product Manager at regular intervals
- Demonstrate product expertise when answering questions from stakeholders, developers, and support personnel regarding product features
- Continually seek out process improvements that could deliver value to the customer
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- BA/BS in Computer Science and/or experience in similar technical field
- Excellent analytical, data gathering, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing skills
- Experience with documentation and ticketing systems, such as JIRA and Confluence
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and other Web frameworks
- Competency with SQL for MS SQLServer or similar databases
- 2+ years of experience in requirements gathering, creation of user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Self-starter personality with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
Ideally, you will also be able to demonstrate:
- Front end web development experience using Javascript (Angular, React, VUE, or similar)
- Back end web development experience using Ruby on Rails
- Familiarity with wire-framing tools such as Balsamiq
- Knowledge of QA automation testing tools (Cucumber, Selenium, or similar)
