Job Description
Seeking a business systems analyst with a process oriented mindset, a go-getter attitude, attention to detail, and a curious mind to join our data governance/primary/master data team. As a senior level BSA, you will work very closely with our business partners to define data governance policies and procedures for primary data including: customer, supplier and product data. An ideal candidate would be bright, energetic, self-motivated with a track-record of goal-achievement and high performance and a desire and aptitude to manage diverse challenges.
Responsibilities include:
As a Data Governance Analyst, you will be working with our business partners to define data governance policies and processes for key master data including: customer data, supplier data and product data.
You will be responsible for revising, documenting, and formalizing the data standards, definitions, and processes.
Build, and run the recurring customer data quality reports. Participate in the data stewards meeting to ensure data quality, compliance and consistency of key master data.
Assist business process experts in defining standard operating procedures, process flows and related documentation.
Create, analyze, and maintain functional and technical documentation.
Translate business rules and requirements into detailed technical specifications.
Analyze business processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual work through the use of technology.
Face-off to the business functions, data stewards, data operations team, coordinate and assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Identify, assess and solve complex business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of master data.
Create quality documentation (Business Process documents, process flows, policies and procedures, strategies, etc.).
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
Experience with and good understanding of data governance as it relates to master data.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as communicating technical issues to non-technical audiences
Experience with enterprise level data analysis and integration work and/or providing data focused systems integration solutions.
Comfort working in an agile development lifecycle and tools such as Jira Rally, and Trello
Understanding of Master Data Management, Data Modeling, Data Quality
Basic level proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL)
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
5+ years’ experience in master data management
