Position Overview:
The position of Commissions Analyst will involve the calculation of commission figures for all of our various sales compensation plans in order to produce payroll amounts. The role will assist in pay period-close and accounting month-close duties including (but not limited to) producing payroll and commission accruals, as well as various other ad-hoc analysis as needed. The Commissions Analyst will have vast knowledge of all of Echo’s sales compensation plans and the metrics associated with them. The role will also be heavily involved in the day-to-day maintenance and development of our commission calculation system, Synygy. The Commissions Analyst will be working directly with various people throughout the organization, ranging from the sales rep level all the way up through upper management.
Responsibilities:

Assist in calculating necessary payroll amounts for various sales-related plans and pay periods

Streamline the calculation and reporting of incentive compensation across all areas of the business

Assist in the analysis required to set accurate goals and targets for the sales force

Provide various cost analysis for current plan structures as well as proposed change

Handle daily system updates that include participant management, user/account level exceptions, role changes, etc.

Maintain system access for various participants

Operate the system on critical processing days to produce sales-related payroll

Posting compensation reports upon pay period-close

Prepare reconciliations for general ledger accounts specifically related to commission

Assist the accounting and finance team during monthly, quarterly and year end audit work

Cross-departmental project management

Acquisition-related commission plan implementation

Ad hoc financial analysis
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting preferred

Work environment/physical demands summary:
This job operates in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.
