Consumer Data Analyst, Consumer Insights & Learning
The Role
The Consumer Data Analyst, Consumer Insights & Learning is a curious, trend-spotting, dot-connecting, highly analytical consumer-minded data wiz who will be instrumental in identifying market and consumer-driven growth opportunities for Green Thumb’s fast growing consumer products and retail cannabis business. As a member of the strategy and insights team, you will partner closely with the Brand and Retail Marketing teams and the R&D, Finance, and Technology teams to leverage data that brings visibility and actionable insights to consumer, market and business trends. Your input and analysis will reinforce the “voice of the customer” and help shape our market expansion, new product development, and consumer marketing strategies to position Green Thumb’s leadership in the rapidly evolving and dynamic cannabis marketplace.
Responsibilities
• Create, manage, optimize and maintain key performance dashboards and ad hoc analysis for continual market, consumer, and brand tracking
• Assume the role of data and business expert on specified subject areas
• Data Storyteller, Extraordinaire! As a primary data communicator you will be asked “think like a designer” and to visually display information and communicate big ideas succinctly
• Collaborate with Brand and Retail Marketing teams to develop ongoing learning plans
• Work with Brand Managers to track New Product launches in test markets and design pricing experiments
• Synthesize multiple primary and secondary data sources into simple, compelling, and actionable business cases
• Seek out and implement innovative, consumer-first data approaches to address business issues
• Support the identification and management of key research and data partners; help facilitate their integration within Green Thumb data systems for one version of the truth

Qualifications
• 5+ years of consumer insights experience within CPG industry
• A bachelor’s degree in relevant field (statistics, economics, mathematics, data science, engineering). Master’s degree preferred.
• Excellent analytical, modeling, and Excel working knowledge
• Proven experience using data surveying, analysis, and visualization tools such as IRI, Nielsen, Tableau (highly preferred), R Studio (highly preferred), JMP, Cognos, Question Pro, or other related software.
• Experience with consumer demand modeling, customer segmentation (cluster analysis, K Means)
• Ability to synthesize complex data sets into compelling and actionable presentation formats (excel, powerpoint, etc.)
• Ability to build relationships and credibility with team members at all levels of the organization
• Willingness to hustle; we operate at a fast pace and we expect team members to keep up

• Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green Thumb and the industry.

• Must possess valid driver’s license
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
